Co-authored by Yongdoo Kim (Jukwang) and Maidasha, Understanding Life and Destiny Through the Cheongdam Circulation Theory presents a philosophical framework that interprets human life not as a linear progression but as a cyclical structure. In this perspective, fate is not a fixed outcome but a structural condition, while destiny is defined as a path shaped by conscious choice.
Phenomena that appear to be repetition in life are explained not as failure, but as stages within a larger cycle that have yet to be recognized. The theory identifies four structural phases—opportunity, change, choice, and acceptance—as the driving forces of transformation.
Alongside this work, Yongdoo Kim’s Newsroom Operating System: Journalism in the Age of Physical AI analyzes how journalism must evolve in an era where large language models (LLMs), edge devices, physical AI, and the emerging potential of artificial general intelligence (AGI) are becoming increasingly visible realities.
The book does not merely ask whether journalism should adopt AI. Instead, it raises a deeper structural question: must journalism be reborn on top of AI architecture?
If Understanding Life and Destiny Through the Cheongdam Circulation Theory explains the structure of human decision-making, Newsroom Operating System redesigns the structure of information production and accountability. Though the two works address different domains, they share a central premise: misunderstanding structure leads to repetition, while recognizing structure initiates transformation.
AI has already expanded beyond drafting articles into advanced data analysis and video editing. Edge devices generate real-time data in the field, while physical AI interprets spatial environments. As the AGI-driven inference market grows rapidly, the role of journalists is shifting from information producers to structural designers and final decision-making directors.

In addition, Yongdoo Kim plans to publish another book in late March that explores the cyclical processes of the universe, Earth, and humanity. Through philosophical and scientific perspectives, the forthcoming work examines the Big Bang as a cosmological principle and offers an objective exploration of spiritual interpretations from a social, rather than purely religious, standpoint.
Yongdoo Kim currently serves as President of the SNS Journalists Association and as Organizing Committee Chair of the International Conference on Action for the Earth (ICAE). He has led campaigns related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and ESG management initiatives. Since 2015, he has also focused on youth leadership development and AI-media convergence experiments, seeking to propose new media models that balance accountability and efficiency.
