According to the report, chicken was being prepared to be sold at a store in Kyochon Chicken in Seoul with sprawling on the floor.

The incident was reported through a consumer's online cafe report.

Kyochon Chicken's headquarters explained that it was insufficient for employee hygiene training at affiliated stores and explained that it delivered a certain amount of money to the informant as an apology.

However, some are criticizing Kyochon Chicken for taking the hygiene issue lightly and trying to shift the responsibility to only franchises.

Food hygiene experts point out that there is a need for a thorough response at the headquarters level and measures to prevent recurrence.
