현충일은 나라를 위해 목숨을 바친 호국영령을 기리는 날이고 우리나라에서는 1956년 이승만정부가 처음으로 6월 6일을 현충일로 지정하여 기념한데서 비롯되었다. We have been memorizing holy sacrifice of soldiers and civilians in order to protect our country. Memorial Day began from June 6th 1956 during Lee Seung-man government.
